Geometrics MagArrow II UAV-Enabled Magnetometer
The MagArrow II is the second generation of Geometrics’ best-selling UAS-deployable magnetometer, setting a new standard for drone-borne magnetic surveys. A laser-pumped cesium-vapor (Cs133, non-radioactive) total-field scalar magnetometer in a 1 kg aerodynamic carbon-fibre shell, it carries its own MFAM™ dual-sensor array, GPS, IMU and Wi-Fi — so it works independently of the drone and its software.
MagArrow and Perimeter X8 UAV for UAV-Magnetics

UAS-agnostic — fly it on the drone you already own
The MagArrow II attaches easily to most enterprise UAVs and is fully self-contained — GPS, 32 GB storage and Wi-Fi are all on board, with no data connection to the aircraft required. Survey lines are flown from your preferred UAS software while the magnetometer logs independently.

Dual MFAM™ cesium sensors — no dead zones, no drop-outs
Two high-performance cesium sensors are combined so that whenever one approaches its dead zone the other is optimally oriented. The result is reliable, high-quality total-field data in any sensor orientation, with a heading error of only ±5 nT across full 360° spins.

1000 Hz sampling — survey faster, filter motor noise
A GPS-synchronised 1000 Hz sample rate lets you fly surveys at up to 10 m/s while still collecting a reading roughly every centimetre, and makes it easy to filter out UAV motor noise. Two hours of hot-swappable battery life outlasts multiple drone flights.
Typical Uses
The MagArrow II excels wherever ground or piloted surveys are slow, costly or unsafe: environmental (locating abandoned wells, pipes and storage tanks), UXO detection and delineation, archaeology (non-invasive site mapping over large areas), geology and mineral exploration (regional magnetic-field variation), and inaccessible terrain such as wetlands, heavy vegetation and protected land.
Service & Warranty
Every MagArrow II supplied by GulfNet Emirates Drone & Robotic Systems includes the manufacturer’s 1-year warranty, carrying case, AC power adapter and USB drive with the operation manual and software. The cesium-vapor magnetometer is export-controlled (US ECCN 6A006); our Dubai-based team manages the export-licence process and provides survey-planning advice, compensation-flight guidance, Survey Manager onboarding and regional technical support across the UAE and wider GCC.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which drones is the MagArrow II compatible with?
It is UAS-agnostic and attaches to most enterprise UAVs. At only 1.2 kg it has little impact on the flight time of a typical 3–5 kg-payload drone. It is usually suspended on non-magnetic cable to separate it from the drone’s magnetic signature.
Do I need to connect it to the drone’s electronics?
No. The MagArrow II is fully self-contained — GPS, storage and Wi-Fi are on board and it logs independently of the UAV and its software. You fly survey lines from your own UAS software and download data afterwards over Wi-Fi.
How is the data downloaded and processed?
Data is downloaded over a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi access point to any browser-capable device — roughly 1 minute per 10 minutes of data — then decimated and converted in Geometrics Survey Manager (and analysed in packages such as Geosoft Oasis montaj).
Is an export licence required to ship to the UAE?
Yes. Cesium-vapor magnetometers are US export-controlled (ECCN 6A006) and require an export licence for the UAE. GulfNet Emirates DRS manages the licence application; please allow additional lead time for this step.
How do I get pricing?
Use the Request a Quote button on this page and GulfNet Emirates DRS will respond with UAE pricing, availability, export-licence guidance and accessory options.
